Each year ASHE Franklin recognizes a Project of the Year in two categories: Category A – Over $3 million, and Category B – Under $3 million (if submissions are received for both). Any public/private organization engaged in the practice of highway and transportation engineering/construction in Northwestern Pennsylvania is eligible to enter the awards program. Projects submitted must be directly related to a field of transportation. Examples of eligible types of projects include highways, bridges, traffic signals, ITS, railroads, public transit, bikeways, pedestrian enhancements / ADA compliance, river or lake transportation, and multi-use paths.
