Message from our 2025–2026 President Stacy Ginkel

As I step into the role of President for the ASHE Franklin Section, I’m honored to continue the tradition of excellence and camaraderie that has defined this group since its founding in September 1962. Over the past 60+ years, we’ve not only grown in size, but also in purpose—expanding our reach, evolving with the times, and consistently giving back. One of our proudest accomplishments continues to be awarding over $10,000 in scholarships—proof that even a “small” section can make a big impact.

Change has been a constant companion, especially in recent years. From finding new venues for our meetings after old favorites closed, to adapting our event schedule and format—we’ve embraced these shifts with resilience. Our dedicated Board Members have worked tirelessly to keep us moving forward, ensuring that we stay true to our roots while remaining flexible for the future.

Thanks to their efforts, we’ve continued our full calendar of events—11 per year—and even expanded it. Highlights last year included the beloved Steak Cookout at the Oil City Boat Club, the Venison Dinner at the Elks in Franklin, and a new addition, Trails to Ales, which has quickly become a member favorite. This year, we’re thrilled to introduce a new exciting event in August and our third annual Holiday Social in December. These unique events help foster the sense of community that makes our chapter so special—and we’re seeing that reflected in record attendance!

Our membership numbers have stayed strong, and new faces bring fresh energy and ideas. We encourage you to keep that momentum going—invite a co-worker or friend to one of our meetings. Whether it’s to earn a PDH credit, make new connections, or just enjoy good company, there’s something for everyone.

I want to give a heartfelt thank you to our Immediate Past President, Damon Rhodes. His deep respect for ASHE Franklin traditions have left an indelible mark on our section. I am grateful for his guidance and hope to continue the standard he set. Many thanks also go out to our incredible Board and Committee Members—your behind-the-scenes work makes every scholarship awarded, every meeting held, and every golf event a success. It doesn’t go unnoticed.

Looking ahead to 2025-2026, we are excited for what’s in store. Our 63rd year is shaping up to be one of our best yet. We invite you to take part—whether to learn something new, build relationships, or just have fun. We’re glad you’re part of the ASHE Franklin family.

See you at the next meeting!

President Stacy Ginkel
